Weekends

Saturdays and Sundays are different. The papers too are different. They are beginning to resemble those vast American Tomes that we used to see boys on strange looking bicycles throwing into peoples gardens (I WISH – If the papers are not put right through the letter box We get complaints – Its got wet – If you don’t put it right through you get a draft from the letter box slit, It gets jammed in the slit etc., etc.,) Any way they come in big heaps that we (me and Jim) have to put together before making up the rounds . The Telegraph boasts 11 sections, and I dread reading the others in the week that say "Free CD at the weekend" or even worse "Free book enclosed". They come in plastic bags, with the magazines and they ALWAYS are in an awkward position. This makes it very difficult to fold and put through the letter box. I have to spend time shaking the bag to get it into a position so that I can fold the mag and put it through the letter box slit.

cheers
Mog
