Snake Bit

Nothing has gone right this week - Monday late finish due to papers late. Tuesday One paper completely missing - had to make special deliveries to those - so again late finish. Wednesday forgot to charge the hotel for the paper taken late Tuesday ! Thursday - too many of One sort of paper, not enough of another. Had to check all rounds and papers on shelves in shop to re-assure the boss that I had not mis- counted (a not infrequent occurrence due to large numbers of papers flying about at 0500 hrs !)Then ring suppliers to find out that they had not even sent the right delivery to us ! Also bloody Oxford Times day - a great thick tome that won't go through letter boxes- at least remembered to charge the Hotel for the extra paper! Lots of extra Racing Post's this week. We usually have two, one for a professional gambler who lives in great style locally and one for the shelves - 20 a day for the last week !! - is there some sort of Race Meeting on locally ?? Boss and wife off to the Races on Friday so it should be quiet (er)
So much has gone wrong this week I'm beginning to think I'm snake bit ! Won't be betting on any horses this week !
